History
History of the Winery L. A. Cetto
This work goes back many years ago, when in 1928 a visionary man, Mr. Angelo Cetto, with great conviction and strength, sows the noble European wine tradition in fertile lands of Baja California. Mr. Angelo used his skills and knowledge acquired in his native Trentino, Italy.
In 1951, a second generation followed the footsteps of the founder of our company. Mr. Luis Agustín Cetto, who was faithful to the tradition developed by his father, consolidated the brand company in the privileged Valle de Guadalupe, place that gladly welcomed the engineer Camilo Magoni, from Morbegno, Italy, in 1965. This talented winemaker quickly reached maturity and success in winemaking.
The quality characterized by many years rendered its greatest fruits in 1983 when they launched their first L.A. Cetto varietal line, that were soon sought after by the most demanding palates. After years of dedication and dreams fulfilled, in 1983, the third generation of the family joined this task: Luis Alberto Cetto, who entrusts the purpose of reinforcing the growth of the company and strengthen the history of the group, also contributing to the opening of international markets for Mexican wines, while continuing to expand the circle of consumers in our country, more info here.

Vineyards
Valle de Guadalupe, Valle Redondo, San Vicente, San Antonio de las Minas and Tecate are the valleys where the great vineyards L.A. Cetto are located.
This great extension allows to enjoying microclimates and different soils that benefit from the winds and sea breezes. Our great vineyards are not only recognized by their great beauty but also because they have allowed to obtain great quality wines from the 14,000 annual tons of grape that are harvested in the 1,200 hectares that hold them and where there are vines up to 80 years old.
Valle de Guadalupe is unique, magical and mysterious. It contrasts the ancestral with modern, the traditional with innovative; the green from the vineyards and ocher; the roast of the hills and mountains. L.A. Cetto had the privilege of knowing this valley, (as well as the San Vicente and Llano Colorado), when viticulture was still the traditional seasonal viticulture and vines, as its name says, pruned as vines. The winegrowers were communal landholders or spoke Russian; we were fortunate to be part of that total renovation, which started in the early 70s and still continues, with the introduction of new varieties, new viticulture techniques and new irrigation systems. L.A. Cetto collaborated to open part of the East of the valley to the vine, and was also a participant and fundamental piece in the construction and development of the wine houses that provided image, prestige, boom and projection to Baja California.
